AFTER-HOUR EMERGENCIES

For after-hours medical emergencies, our clients can contact the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre Companion Animal Hospital (Small Animal Clinic) at 519-823-8830 for further instructions on obtaining 24-7 emergency care. The OVC Companion Animal Hospital is located at 28 College Ave. W, Guelph ON. When calling the OVC Companion Animal Hospital with an emergency please make sure you identify yourself as an existing OVC Smith Lane Animal Clinic client. Alternatively, for non-emergency after hour inquiries you can email us at ovcslah@uoguelph.ca.

UNIVERSITY CLOSURES AND SNOW DAYS

The OVC Smith Lane Animal Hospital is affiliated with the University of Guelph. In the event of inclement weather, we recommend checking the University of Guelph website for any closure announcements. If the university is closed, our clinic will also be closed. We will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule any appointments affected by the closure. For any questions about potential weather-related closures, please reach out to our client service team at 519-840-0100.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR LONG WEEKENDS

We will be closed for appointments on Saturdays that precede a long weekend which includes a statutory holiday on Monday. We will resume regular business hours as of Tuesday at 7:30 am.

If you would like to have your pet examined prior to the long weekend, please ensure that you book an appointment for your pet to be seen no later than Friday. Please keep in mind that many of our clients take advantage of this timing, therefore it is important that appointments be scheduled as early on as possible.

If you have an emergency over the course of the weekend, please call the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre Companion Animal Hospital (Small Animal Clinic) at 519-823-8830 for further instructions on obtaining 24-7 emergency care.
